The Alan HP450 is the ideal business entry level business radio. It has good sturdy MIL specifcations. It is PMR446 approved and has the big benefit is that it can be programmed with OFCOM licensed channels.
The Alan HP450 offers you or your business radio a MIL spec PMR446 licence free radio which has the capabaility to be unlocked as a high power OFCOM business radio. This is the only approved PMR446 radio which can also be used as an Ofcom UK Licence. The benfit of a Business Light User Licence (£80.00) is a higher output power (greater range) and enhanced business radio communication facilities.
Your Alan HP450 will be supplied with the higher capacity LiON battery (2200mAH) in PMR446 mode. Yes it can be found on the high street at a lower price but with the lower capacity NiMH battery (1100mAH).
