These accessories are not generally repairable. They are a product which a Force would buy in bulk and issue as a "disposable product" to be replaced as necessary. We began to get a lot of people asking to buy them privately where their Force did not issue them, and so we began to offer them individually.

We give a 3 month guarantee on them, and provided they are treated a bit more gently than, say, a rugged speaker-mic, in our experience they easily last more than 3 months. The date code is under the swivelling clothing clip, eg 0508 indicating August 2005 manufacture. Some have been returned to us for repair with date codes showing that they were over 2 years old. In fact they can rarely be repaired as the wiring is moulded into the product, which is then glued together. They are a fast moving product and so they don't stay on our shelves very long, but even so; we would add 3 months or so to the 3 months guarantee period.
